Recumbent Cycle Con 2013
Held at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona, California on November 1,2, & 3, the 2013 Recumbent Cycle-Con was a palpable success. Below the descriptive text here, you will find 154 photographs of the event.
The entrance to the RCC was framed by lovely floral gardens!
Recumbent Cycle-Con is the meeting place of the recumbent bicycle industry. Manufacturers, engineers, bicycle dealers and distributors meet at this biennial event to show and learn about new products, services and accessories for recumbent bikes and trikes, handcycles, tandems and adaptive bicycles.
Friday is a trade-only day. Saturday and Sunday public hours will attract a mixed consumer audience. Everyone will be able to test ride the bikes on two Outdoor Demo Ride Arenas; one for recumbent bikes, trikes and tandems; the other for adaptive cycling exhibitors and slower moving traffic.
You can almost smell the beauty from this photograph!
All three days will be filled with informative educational seminars, product demonstrations, contests and other family-friendly events. Technicians, engineers and designers from the major recumbent manufacturers will provide helpful, hands-on seminars, demonstrations and training sessions that will be beneficial to bike shop mechanics and DIY enthusiasts alike.
The Adaptive Cycling Fair at Recumbent Cycle-Con is an event that supports cycling for everyone regardless of age or ability. The Fair will offer trial rides on a variety of adaptive bikes and exhibitors will present their adaptive bikes and accessories. Medical professionals, therapists, adaptive recreation professionals, parents and caregivers will learn about new equipment to suit their adaptive needs and may enjoy informative seminars, including the second ADAPTIVE CYCLING ROUNDTABLE.
The Trike Asylum booth appears on left, with David Massey (PCTA) discussing trikes with visitors.
