About Wild Steve

Steve Greene is a naturalist, free thinker, and seeker of truth. He pursues absolute truth in all things, modifying his existence as supported by legitimate evidence. His ideological foundation rests on the respect of life, as he follows a path of health, serenity, and maximum functional longevity. He has authored eleven books, and is a noted authority on Death Valley National Park, human powered recumbent tricycle touring, health and fitness, and professional law enforcement. Steve has not owned a petroleum powered automobile since 2008, as part of his environmental preservation paradigm. He thrives on a whole food plant-based diet, exercises regularly (bodybuilding, hiking, cycling), and enjoys exploring the wilderness, beyond the bounds of human dominance. Harmony with nature tops his priorities.

I neither support, nor endorse making disparaging political comments by anyone trying to ride recumbents of any type, Nor do I see the need to for whatever reason, to inject political comments into riding recumbents either.. There are proper forums to debate what ever comments you may have. So please don’t subject us to your complaints… I just want to ride and hear about other riders experiences while riding their recumbents of their choice…!

    Howdy Zack,

I agree with your statement about keeping political issues out of trike posts, but after watching Matt’s presentation “Tokyo Trump Visit Security” a second time, I am not seeing any disparaging political commentary. He seems to simply be describing the motorcade, mentioning the president’s impending visit and heightened security measures by the city.

He did refer to the president as “Mister T” at one point, but that seems rather endearing if anything, just another lighthearted nickname that folks have come to use when referring to the man. People have had fun nicknames for presidents ever since George Washington (Fabius – from a military strategy he used). Even the title of this post has listed a nickname for the current president (The Donald – his wife referred to him as such in a 1989 Spy magazine cover story), which has no adverse connotation associated with it. It all seems politically neutral.

My assessment is that Matt Galat’s presentation lacks any controversial political viewpoints at all, and I saw nothing that would hint at sparking a debate for a forum setting, nor did I see any political complaints.
