Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our politicians were half as far sighted as theirs. We claim we want to go “green” but only when it comes to energy. Just think of energy saved every day by all those people pedaling instead of driving.

Ah wonderful Copenhagen, I still remember Danny Kay singing about it when I was a boy… I don’t know how with all my extensive traveling throughout my life and then for work as an adult I have never been… Well that is not the point is it… This country knows the problems it has and what is at stake here but yet we only have one truly federally funded bike and nature trail organization that it supports, and that is the Rails and Trails organization in which I am proud to be a member of… I have been saying for the longest time this country is so behind for one of the youngest nations, if not the youngest nation on the glob to be so neglect of it’s natural resources, and it’s failure to achieve the goal of better public transportation or to engage the national bike association to commit a campaign to get more cyclist on the roads today, throughout the country in order to relieve congestion, and for ecological purpose in the relief in air pollution in which is destine to choke this planet for our future generations quality of life…! I some times shake my head at how we are boasting to other nations how great and powerful we are, and yet here are the Danish just one of many but a very small nation who knows what it means to protect the natural resources that they have in abundance… Every day I here how China on the TV set is building new mag lavs and other types of people movers and support cycling within it’s great nation.. And yet this country is only afraid of going to war with them, when we should be taking lessons from their examples… Now who is the nation ahead on this learning curve here…? We claim to be, but yet we are so behind… So in closing I just want to say I appreciate when I see news like this, it’s wonderful to know someone in the world has their heads screwed on right…! Now this was a great piece Hobo Steve…. Thank you…….Armadillo Zack
