Luke, Denise, and an ICE VTX

Denise Lanier, a long-time regular TA reader, and active trike pilot, has paid tribute to her special friend Luke, a fine furry gentleman I have met on two occasions at the Recumbent Cycle Conventions in 2011 and 2013. I can attest to Luke’s impeccable behavior and desire to be part of the human side of life: while seated at the 2013 RCC at the ICE booth, Luke took up residence next to me, and placed his head on my right shoe (guess I was a suitable replacement for Denise while she was out pedaling her future trike, the ICE VTX speed trike). Anyway, following is a lovely tribute to Luke that Denise made. If you wish to learn more about Denise and her ICE VTX, click HERE and HERE.

About Wild Steve

Steve Greene is a naturalist, free thinker, and seeker of truth. He pursues absolute truth in all things, modifying his existence as supported by legitimate evidence. His ideological foundation rests on the respect of life, as he follows a path of health, serenity, and maximum functional longevity. He has authored eleven books, and is a noted authority on Death Valley National Park, human powered recumbent tricycle touring, health and fitness, and professional law enforcement. Steve has not owned a petroleum powered automobile since 2008, as part of his environmental preservation paradigm. He thrives on a whole food plant-based diet, exercises regularly (bodybuilding, hiking, cycling), and enjoys exploring the wilderness, beyond the bounds of human dominance. Harmony with nature tops his priorities.

What a gorgeous slide-show and tribute to your fury pal. If animals know kindness they tend to give it back in spade. if only all people could be the same.

  2. Jerry Forster says:

Thank you so much for that. My wife Elinor and I have been members of CCI for many years now and we Love the stories of these great dogs. They make the world a much better and loving place. Give Luke a hug for us.
