Road to Margaritaville

Trike pilot Dan Zimmerman is a man on a mission! He is asking for support for his cause, and Trike Asylum is happy to spread the word. If you take a while to read his website, you will be duly impressed with what he is about to commence this month, and if you feel so inclined, you can donate and get in return a high visibility shirt that shows your support, while making you highly visible to motorists while on your trike. You can even ride with Dan and his group, all the way or part of the journey. This will be a memorable overland experience! Here is some information from his informative Spokes Fighting Strokes website:

“As a way to increase awareness of strokes and stroke survivors, I will be pedaling a recumbent trike across the country. This trip will demonstrate that suffering a stroke does not have to mean the end of a person’s ability to enjoy an active lifestyle. We are calling this the “Road to Margaritaville Ride”. For more information about the ride, and to see when and where we will be going, go to the bike tour page. The other goal of this trip is to raise money for stroke research by having people donate either directly or via a pledge of so much money per mile ridden. For more details on how to support this effort, please go to the donate page. We are also looking for corporate sponsors (or individuals) who are willing to help support this effort through donations to fund the expenses of the trip. We will be listing our sponsors prominently on this website and also on our support vehicle depending on support level.”
