Loop Suspension Wheel

Is your trike one of the rigid variety, with no suspension to soften the road’s unpleasantries? Are you tired of feeling every little bump transferred up your spine and into your gelatinous brain? Well, it’s your lucky day. Check out this product: suspension built right into the 20-inch front wheels of your trike!

Loop Wheelthe LOOPWHEEL

From the company comes this text:

A single, front 20″ loopwheel with brake cable (no lever), and fitted with a tyre.

Drum brake hub set: Sturmey Archer X-FD

Colour: black with teal blue loops

Tyre: Continental Sport Contact 20″ x 1 1/8

Inner Tube Valve: Presta

Please note if you are fitting this wheel to a bike you already own (or building your own frame) you will need 100mm wide front forks, plus 260mm from the centre of the hub to any part of the frame. This is to allow for the movement of the hub as loopwheels react to changes in terrain. You can buy Dahon 100mm front forks from us.

One Response to Loop Suspension Wheel

  1. John Jackson says:

Cool device, I hope they consider attaching it to a X-SD hub; the one presented needs forks so maybe Ok for a delta trike. It seems to be bolted in place so perhaps it wouldn’t be hard to convert.
