Indoor Trike Trainer

A few posts back, we learned about the Sportcrafters trike trainer, a unique device designed especially for trike pilots who wish to use the frigid, cold, and wet winter months to keep on triking, thus being ready for the warmer months ahead. Well, Trike Asylum enthusiast Gary Bunting from southern California has one of these trainers, and shares his word and a photo of his trike in the living room:

Hello Steve,

You recently did a short on the SportCrafters Rollers for indoor trike training. I purchased one and also a Ascent Trainer Mat (Stock No. AS-TM, Nashbar) and a pair of Nashbar’s Deluxe Riser Blocks (Stock No. NB-DRB) to bring the trike up to level (as close as possible) when the rear wheel is on the rollers. Works out great and I though you might like to consider this for your own use and maybe the pics might help you when discussing this aspect of training indoors, in your upcoming book. Got the mat for 32.99 and the riser blocks for 24.99 (plus shipping).
